Training

Comets Netball Club are always happy to welcome new players so if you are interested please contact us with your details.

Training is held weekly for all age groups and it is important that these sessions are attended by all squad members. Not only are important skills taught but team spirit and togetherness are developed over time- both of these are exceptionally important to success on the netball court.

Please ensure that you are punctual for training and if you are unable to attend for whatever reason, ensure your coach is notified in advance. Attendance at training will be considered by coaches when selecting for matches.

Having a good attitude to training is also hugely important. Coaches spend a lot of time planning and delivering these sessions and therefore we expect squad members to treat the training sessions with the respect they deserve. We expect every club member to try their best and focus on what the coaches are delivering.

The netballing ruling about nails, hair and jewellery applies equally to training as it does to matches. Nails should be short, hair must be tied back and no jewellery is permitted. (Earrings must be removed and not just taped over.)

Mobile phones: Whilst we understand that mobile phones are important to have with us during training, please make every effort to keep your mobile phone in your bag for the duration of the session. This enables us all to focus on the training and developing our skills.
