George returned to build on the attacking concepts introduced in the previous session and helping players finish the series on a high.
Continuing on from last week's focus on shooting and attacking play, players were challenged to develop their decision-making, timing and movement under pressure. The session revisited many of the attacking combinations introduced previously, with an emphasis on creating space, reading the play and converting opportunities with confidence. It was great to see how much progress everyone had made over the five-week programme, with players demonstrating increased confidence and a greater understanding of attacking play.
The session finished with competitive match play, giving everyone the chance to bring together everything they had learned over the summer. From the defensive skills introduced by Mikki, to Suzie's attacking movement, and George's work on shooting and offensive combinations, it was fantastic to see players applying all aspects of their training in realistic game situations.
A huge thank you goes to George, Mikki, Suzie, Tianna & Charlie for sharing their knowledge, enthusiasm and experience throughout the programme. Their commitment has provided players of all ages with an excellent opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy their netball over the summer months.
While the weekly training sessions may have come to an end, there's still one final event to look forward to. We're excited to round off the summer programme with our Open Masterclass on Sunday 26 July, where players of all ages and abilities will come together for one last opportunity to learn from our fantastic coaching team. We look forward to seeing everyone there for a brilliant finish to another successful summer at Comets.
